– 3 bagels, halved 1/2 cup each: California Ricotta, Mozzarella, Monterey Jack and sharp Cheddar cheese – 1/4 teaspoon dried basil – 4 strips cooked, crisp bacon, broken into pieces – 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt – Freshly ground pepper to taste – 6 fried or scrambled eggs (optional)

Makes 6 servings

Prep time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 10 to 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 425°F and place bagels cut side up on a foil-lined baking sheet.

Stir together remaining ingredients except eggs and spread equal amounts over bagels.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

Top with eggs, if desired.
