No-Bake Peach and Pear Crisp

Ingredients:

– 1 14.5-, 15-, or 15.25-ounce canned sliced peaches – 1 15- or 15.25-ounce canned sliced pears – 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) Real California unsalted butter – 2 tablespoons sugar, plus more to taste – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 3/4 cup granola – 1/4 cup chopped almonds, toasted – 1/2 cup Real California heavy whipping cream :Butter, Cream, Whipping Cream, Kid Friendly, Almonds, Pears, Peaches, Canned Fruit, Granola, Whipped Cream

Directions:

Prep time: 8 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Drain peaches and pears, reserving 1/4 cup liquid (save remaining for another use).

In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, combine reserved liquid and butter, stirring occasionally to melt butter. Add peaches and pears in a single layer. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and cook without stirring until fruit is lightly browned, 4 to 6 minutes. Gently turn and continue to cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.

Meanwhile, in the bowl of a stand mixer using the whisk attachment or in a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat cream to soft peaks. Beat in sugar to taste.

Sprinkle fruit with granola and almonds. Serve with whipped cream.
