Straus Oraganic Milk California Dairy Producer Taking Strides Toward More Sustainable Business with Innovative Milk Container — Northern California-based Straus Family Creamery is continuing to embrace sustainable practices through the introduction of a new, first-of-its-kind milk bottle that is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. The new bottle, developed by Ecologic Brands, hit shelves in January 2010 and Straus Family Creamery is the first company to bring unique form of milk bottling to the marketplace.

Straus Family Creamery, located in Marshall, Calif., is one of many California dairies continuing to innovate and utilize sustainable methods.
